Company Values and No Assholes Policy

PivotNine combines sound business management with the best IT has to offer. We admire great aesthetics and innovation, as well as great returns on investment. We believe you can, and should, have both.

We’re down to earth and practical. We get excited by great technology, sure, but we also get excited about great business models and excellent management.

We celebrate excellence in what we do, because we care about the little details. We strive for greatness, but great artists ship. The best designed product in the world is useless unless it sells.

We provide great customer service because we only deal with great customers, and they deserve it.

Our Rules

Doing interesting, rewarding work with people you like is a joy. Life is too short to settle for less.

Rule 1: No assholes.

Life is too short to have to work with unpleasant people every day. We won’t stand for it, and neither should you.

Try to be your best self. Treat others with compassion and kindness.

People sometimes mess up. We get that. And it’s ok, just so long as you learn from it and work hard at being better next time.

Rule 2: We’re in this together.

This is why rule 1 exists. As a company, we depend on each other. There’s plenty of room for individual achievement, and we encourage and celebrate each other’s success. But personal achievement must never come at the expense of the greater good.

Our rules apply to our clients and suppliers as well as our staff.

If you’re offended by our rules, that’s ok. We probably wouldn’t have enjoyed working with you either. Aren’t we lucky we figured that out at the beginning?
